March 16th-25th will mark the 27th consecutive year of one of the most world recognized music events the planet has to offer (and the largest event of its kind) called “Winter Music Conference” (or WMC ). People from around the world fly into South Beach, Miami Florida to experience a mix of workshops, events, contests, seminars and most importantly- the hotel pool parties. With over 100000 attendees annually, Winter Music Conference (WMC) is an experience all electronic music lovers circle on their calendars as that means it’s going to be a week of seeing a mix of the top DJ’s in the world spinning at hotels throughout South Beach. Most events will start at 11AM and go all day and into the evening.

The evening events also include many hotels, but it turns into the worlds top DJ’s performing at clubs like LIV, Mansion, La Fontaine Bleu, Mynt, Red Room, Gansenvoort and many others. One of my personal favorites is Ocean 10 (on 10th and Ocean) as there is no cover until 10, it’s an outdoor club on the ocean and the DJ’s are sick even if you’ve never heard of them. You will want to pre buy your tickets or buy the pass that will allow you into all the sanctioned WMC events or you will wait outside feeling like a helpless ass and paying top dollar to get in everywhere. If it’s just you and your “boys”, your odds go even further down unless the bouncer is nice enough to offer you a table for $3500 to come in. If you want to see and experience it all, get the VIP pass for access to all the WMC sanctioned events and that will be more than enough to keep you busy.

10 days of nonstop events is a lot to handle…for most this is the equivalent of a trip to Vegas- 2-3 days is plenty before your body wants to shut down. There is no question this is an event you have to attend at least once in your life and once you attend once, you’ll circle this on your calendar every year from here on out.
